What is Open Studio?
Open studio provides access to materials, space, and firings. Please note that this studio space is outdoors, with shade and covering for sun and light drizzle. Based on registrations, you may have the space to yourself or be sharing it with other artists
Pricing
Price: $10/hour
Included: Bisque/glaze firings for pieces created during your open studio time. Standard glazes (no underglaze or specialty glazes).
Sold separately: Clay – $40/bag or $2/per lb of clay. Purchased clay may be stored on-site. You may provide your own clay, but it must be cleared for the firing temperatures we are using.
Requirements
Self-Driven:This is not a class. Students are expected to be able to manage their own projects. To participate in open studio time, students MUST be current or past students.
Labeling: All pieces must be clearly signed/labeled to avoid confusion with ownership
Size Restrictions: Pieces should be no taller than 10”. Larger pieces may be accommodated for an additional fee, as it reduces the number of shelves that can be used in a firing. If your piece is taller than 10″.
